You Can Bet on this Career
Nobody wants to gamble with their future. But what if there was gambling in your future? A very lucrative future. Now calm down. I’m not suggesting you carve out a thrilling career handicapping horses or spending long hours clad in hoodie and sunglasses at crowded poker tables. I’m merely steering you toward a very unusual and promising career option for college students.
I’m talking about a rewarding future in gaming management. That’s right. If you’ve got the desire and the time, you can train to become a casino manager. This unique major is being offered by the International Gaming Institute, conveniently located on the campus of, you guessed it … the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again…man, has college changed since I prowled the halls of higher learning.
Among the course offered by the International Gaming Institute are Gaming Operations and Management, Casino Marketing, Casino Accounting and Finance, and Race and Sports Book Operations.
Admittedly, this offering is a far cry from in-depth explorations of medieval philosophies, comparisons of Shakespeare’s late comedies, or analyses of genome behavior in vacuums. But the major could prove just the ticket for those eager to break free of the commonplace and make a decent chunk of change in the process.
If you’re one of these rugged individualists, be sure to check out the link above. I’ll wager you’ll get a lot out of it. And, of course, our team always is on hand to answer any questions and provide additional information about this or any other career option for college students.
