Quit College and Earn $100,000
Are you the proud inventor of a hyperspace drive that will whisk interplanetary travelers to Jupiter in no time at all? No. Well, even if haven’t concocted something as galaxy-shaking as that handy device, your invention still could carry a lot of weight in certain quarters of the cosmos.
What I’m talking about is the Thiel Foundation. Spawned by the founder and CEO of PayPal, Paul Thiel, the organization has put into motion a very bold program for all inventors under the age of 20. Thanks to the generosity of Mr. Thiel, the program will be providing a hefty $100,000 to these young go-getters. The requirement? Just don’t attend college and instead get started developing your inventions. And 100 g’s goes flying into your pocket. Tough choice. Sure wish they had something like that when I created the world’s first and largely ignored electric toothpick.
Hundreds of young Edisons have submitted their applications. Many already are busy creating new wonders and possibly future headlines through this exhilarating program. And if you’re truly serious about participating, here’s a complete and very compelling picture of the Thiel Fellowship.
